There are a million other sites and pages out there with headings of ExPat Mexico ..... so this, as a new board gets lost in the crowd. Something original/different would show up sooner in Google search .... and possibly attract new users

Open to just about anything but should be somewhat related to the original idea

How about EXPAT SPATS? or just EXSPATS?

Pretty good suggestions Gringal. Appropriate too. Could turn that around into SPATS FOR EXPATS, or in his case SPITTING EXPATS but I like yours better.

I have never been comfortable with the word 'expatriate' - to me it is a specific tax status term for British people - and is often used by them as a sort of affectation - as in "I don't give a damn what happens back home - I don't pay tax there, I don't care". Sort of 'rebels without a clue'.

This website has drawn some pretty interesting minds. Topics often stray, but generally Mexico is the central theme. Mexico should be in title, perhaps some friendly, inviting word which means 'meeting place' too. Many of the people who have moved to Mexico, especially the older ones, would have been considered 'mavericks' by their friends and family for even considering Mexico as a place to move/retire to. Unfortunately "Mexico Mavericks" sounds like a soccer team. I could design some cool shirts though!

I think John McCain and Sarah Palin spoiled the word "maverick" for me, permanently. Otherwise, GaryG has a good point.

"Curmudgeon corner" is, uh, a teensy bit negative....but....
