Repost from April 13, 2009 Four of us went to Ajijic Tango tonight. We were promptly waited on and the waitress took our drink orders. After the drinks, she came and took our appetizer and entree orders.
Appetizers: One person ordered Chistorra (small slightly spicy sausage), another ordered Beef Carpaccio, another ordered Sweetbread. The person who ordered the Sweetbread said it was tough and had to send it back. I ordered Vegetable Carpaccio. It consists of cucumbers surrounding the plate, thinly sliced on a mandolin with capers, cheese, red pepper, carrots, etc in a balsamic vinegarette dressing. Very tasty and large enough for two.
Entrees: Two people split the Rack of Lamb (large enough for two), one ordered Fettucine Alfredo and I ordered Filet Mignon (9 oz). The Filet Mignon was cooked perfect, tender and very juicy. All meals were delicious.
The service was excellent as usual. Reservations necessary. It was packed on a Monday night. It is now a NON Smoking restaurant. It is closed on Tuesday.
