Jan. 30, 2009 Review: Last night 8 of us from our Monthly Dinner group ate at Armando's restaurant. When he saw one of our handicapped people getting out of my car, he was on the sidewalk to help out. We sat inside in the corner near the fireplace.
The waiter promptly took drink orders, brought them over and after awhile took dinner orders. 3 of us had Caesar Salad. It's prepared at tableside. It was very good. Two of us ordered soup, one ordered meatball and I ordered Cream of Mushroom. My soup could have been much creamier, but it was tasty.
Entrees: Several people ordered Filet Mignon in Mustard Sauce, one of his specialties. It came with baked potato and veggies. It arrived as ordered and everyone liked it. Two others ordered Pepper Steak and they also liked it. My friend ordered Fried Shrimp which was slightly overcooked, but was still good. That came with rice and veggies. I ordered Shrimp in Wine Sauce. It came with rice and veggies. It was sooooo delicious. I highly recommend this dish. Another person ordered Red Snapper. It came with the head on and not fileted, so she had to remnve the bones. She was not too happy, but the fish was good.
We had good food and good service. Armando's serves very good food and it is a very cozy restaurant. He desrves more business. Try it next time you eat out
