Getting goofy on the other thread and I consider this interesting

Awhhhh ... it's all interesting. Just because I announced my move here rather in the Chapala area ... but why would I do that. Generally who cares

Reality is I've been here 5 years. 4+ of those years I've been very close to a Mexican family in fact living with them for over a year ... and then neighbors (no English). I helped them alot and they helped me but the relationship deteriorated. La Senora of the family was my presta nombre for some property and when it came time for separation she did not want to sign off with the Ejido.

I really like the kids, Mia was born while I was here, I went to baptism, wiped her butt at the beach or waterpark (weekly trip) ... mas-o-menos for most of the kids. (long story)

Recently sold or changed the property to another Pesta Nombre without family approval (totally legal) and at this point I'd rather not live next to the kids and adults after the long relationship.

This is as much just clearing the air as looking at other possibilities

So .... if you have a dinning or living room set .... let me know

OK sparks, that explains leaving Melaque but not moving to Chapala where there are certified life coaches and the hot gringo entertainment is some old guys imitating America.

I tried to get a Mexican 'life coach' but it didn't work out. Now I get to see if a Never-Never-Land-coach is my last option

If it is change and distance you seek...Ask yourself 'WHY' Chapala area?

'Familiarity'? ''Friends'? 'Convienience'?

Are you seeking personal growth and fullfillment?

Why go to Chapala area and get involved in other peoples drama? Unless that is what you want....

What I am saying is why change 1 drama for another type of drama?

Do you need solitude, and truley want a new life direction?

If change is what you seek, direct the change towards something you truley desire and really want and need.

You only go around 'this world once'....Do what you want to do....Go with your hearts desire...Listen to your instinct, the 6th sense...

May the winds of change and good fortune blow upon your soul and your footsteps be guided by wisdom, courage, and happiness !

Well Shhhh ... that's really a little deep for me. At age 65 I'm not looking for big changes in my life or the perfect anything. Simply I'm distancing myself from a sensitive situation and Jocotepec is 4.5 hours closer to parts of Mexico I've only passed thru. The thing about renting is that you can keep moving if you need or want to.

People do, and look like they're having a great time doing it. I've wondered why people don't try Hobie Cats. Shallow draft and just a little wind does the job. Haven't seen any yet, though there are a few sailboats about.

IMO, you don't need a "life coach", Sparks. Looks like you're doing just fine.

It's always entertaining to read how people who don't live in a place know just how it is there, and find the most extreme examples available to prove it. I call it "making it okay" for whatever their own personal choices turned out to be.

Hope your move is as smooth as the waters of Lake Chapala on a dull day.

It has to be very difficult leaving the children behind. The little ones are always hurt the most when adults have a falling out and I know you will deeply miss them. They are darling babies. Sorry that happened to you.

Maybe ... but I sold mine over a year ago

I had a Hobie Cat 14 and you really need to be ready to go swimming with those. If not you're not really using them as intended
