If you could read, and we all know you can't, you would know that Calderon requested private contractors from the U.S. in 2007. Are you calling the president of Mexico a dipshit and saying he doesn't understand his own country? Are you saying that Calderon is anti-Mexican because that could get you in some trouble.

No where does it say "Calderon requested private contractors from the U.S. in 2007." to enter and be deployed IN Mexico.

They were to be used as Calderon sees fit. My original post was that what the drug lords are doing is domestic terrorism. Since the private contractors were offered to Calderon and because Mexican law enforcement, military and politicians are threatened with retaliation by the drug cartels, he could use the private contractors to help his people because the private contractors would be far harder to terrorize than local law enforcement. He could use them to train his people or he could use them to fight along side his people. I don't think anyone thinks Calderon would turn lose foreign contractors on Mexicans. What Mexico is fighting has gone beyond a criminal element and they can't be treated as a criminal element. They are terrorist, not ordinary criminals.

Following the murder of 35 people the Mexican Senate has decided to:
.."The commitment the legislators have made is to deliver to the nation a new legal instrument to deal head on with a problem creating discontent galore among decent people."..found in
Law versus kidnappers
http://www.thenews.com.mx/home/tnArticu ... ont=382431

The Senate would seem to be putting more emphasis on Kidnapping gangs than on Drug Cartels.

They seem to view Kidnappings, more than Drugs, to be a dangerous criminal plague threatening national security as well as creating discontent and beleaguering the citizens.

Short of returning to the death penalty, which the Greens want...The author states, "The Chamber of Deputies, and not the Senate, should have had the first say on the anti-kidnapping Law debate,..it is refreshing to witness that at long last, political parties agree on an issue: giving kidnappers their due!"

Again more emphasis on kidnappings than drugs. Seems like..kidnapping is criminal whereas the drug cartel business is something else..maybe a way of life and economic system which has a "Trickle UP" effect..or what?

The death penalty doesn't work in the U.S. so why have it here? There are worse punishments than the death penalty like a Super Max prison. I can't imagine anything worse than that. The Mexican government is looking ahead at what happens if the drug business dries up? Innocent people become the victims of these gangsters. If the drug cartels aren't brought under control, there will be more kidnappings and innocent people being killed. The cartels do bring in billions of U.S. dollars to the economy so there is a financial upside for Mexico but that could always go away and it might already be too late to get control of the cartels who can easily control of politicians through money or fear.

Taking other people words out of context only makes you look foolish. Or do you believe you’re the only one that can read?

Strange how you never make sense or seem to have anything to say other than defend Pam. You always seem to appear after Pam has been involved in disagreements with people. Hmmm.......could you be one and the same. Something to ponder. :ugeek:
