Pedro,

Bobcats are 20 to 30 years old
Cougars are 31 to 50 years old
Lynx are 51 to 90 years old (called a Lynx due to the hair in the ears)

So....................cougar you say????????

Bob

And you still need to reduce those meds. You look like hell and never make any sense when you post things. Try maybe 100mg/day and don't wash it down with rubbing alcohol.........

Hi Jonna

You are right it was my post. Not fair you know both of us!

The woman ´s prose was very nice and entertaining but she obviously was very naive and lived in her own world. She thought she had met this wonderful fisherman who was entertaining her with his stories and so on, a sad story really since what he was really interested in was her money. The blog is interesting in that it gives you her side of the story and her description of the man who killed her.
Marty before you lash out you should have a glue of what you are talking about. The woman , I am sure was very nice and did not deserve what happen to her but sorry she was a naive space cadet and a COUGAR or a LYNX.

Marty
Since you are not too swift I will explain the story to you. Nothing to do with Mexico or Canada.
60 year old woman feeling 20, has some money takes home young and poor 24 year old man for a nice little romantic time in her apartment.
After some time together young 24 year old is sick of her ass and see things he would not mind having.
Goes back for the loot, she resists he cuts her up and takes the loot . The young , wonderful fisherman is not too swift eithr so he gets caught with the bllody knife.

This is what can happen when old lady gets a gigolo..in any country .

Canada or Mexico have nothing to do with that story.
It is a sad story but it is something that can happen anywhere.
Since your French is so good you could have read that blog too....or is her French too educated for you?

Due to the fact that I was born in Montreal, my French is just fine thank you. It is not that I didn't understand what happened to the lady, it was your damn pontificating about it.

We are regulars to the island...
A few years ago, my friend & I discovered the commercial fishery warf located in a more deserted area ...
The fishermen were cleaning their catch ... most of em were doing a fair bit of drinkin.... the catch of the day was Shark... hammerheads , maco,, Hey, we are a couple of prairieboys... this is very cool!!.. We tried to arrange to go fishing with them ( in the worst Spanish you've ever heard ) I think we were all on the same page. Ron & I show up at 4:30AM, we walked because the taxis' aren't running yet. The fishermen are all gathering around, some loading things into the boats... Then, I notice something. These guys are all still stinkin drunk!! To Hell with that... I'm not getting into a boat with these assholes... we probably woulda ended up being the bait!!

Sometimes, a little descretion goes a long way...

That may be true - but no other country/culture than France has written more on the theme of the "fallen woman" (or the "young dandy"). The big hitters like Balzac, Baudelaire, Proust, the classics like Madame Bovary and Dangerous Liasons. A few nice love poems out of Montreal - but nothing like this. So Brigette is more than qualified to read between the lines, but I wanted to make it very clear that I was not inferring personal experience!

I was not pontificating, sorry, Marty, the woman took risks and lost nothing else.
I get sick of hearing everytime a Canadian is killed in Mexico how bad Mexico is, how bad the justice here and poor Canadians.... Things happen in life and if you choose to live dangerously you may get it. nothing more , nothing less.
