I was not pontificating, sorry, Marty, the woman took risks and lost nothing else.
I get sick of hearing everytime a Canadian is killed in Mexico how bad Mexico is, how bad the justice here and poor Canadians.... Things happen in life and if you choose to live dangerously you may get it. nothing more , nothing less.
Am not a fan of yellow journalism anywhere.
And get a little crazy about Canadian writers, don't even want to use the word, journalist, who use these kinds of stories to grab bylines and headlines etc.
Like some of the Mexican residents on these fora. However, the Canadian cases generally share one aspect in common. Unsolved. With little or no chance of ever, being solved...for too many reasons to mention in this simple post.
Some years back, was 'close' to both a murder and an unrelated brutal assault
during a five month stay in a small Mexican village, touted, as paradise.
What I learned, from both those experiences, was enough to convince, that generally speaking, if it's 'justice' you crave, should you be severely victimized in this lifetime, you're in for a rude shock in Mexico.
Not that everything/body in Mexico is crap. Mexico is a beautiful country, with people of the highest quality, anywhere. However, there is also a dark side. As with every place.
Better revealed. Discussed. Than hidden under the 'paradise' label.
