B.C. men gunned down poolside at Mexican condo, by acquaintances.

The gunmen fled in two cars.

Police later found three vehicles registered to the victims, a pickup truck with Canadian plates, a Hummer and a Mercedes Benz with Mexican plates.

Yes Canadians who owned 3 cars, including two Jalisco plated ones - one a Hummer the other a Merc with tinted windows.
A gun found next to one body, not used in the shooting.
Sounds like regular tourists to me.

The Hummer was said to be rented?

Local news say that both men were from Kamloops, BC. One had previous drug convictions there.

A friend of ours called this morning to say she just had a call from her 19 year old son's friends in Cancun (they are down there on vacation) and that her son was in the hospital either severly beaten or shot. She is trying to get further information and been unable to get ahold of the son's friends again. I told her to call the hotel where her son was staying, the RCMP, the Canadian consulate in Mexico, the Mexican consulate in Vancouver and the Vancouver Sun (Newspaper). I'm sure one of these agencies would be able to get some more info. Unfortunately she doesn't have the means to be able to fly down there.

Does anyone know someone who lives in Cancun that I could e-mail?

Innocent people don't usually get shot in Mexico for no reason.

They are usually involved with drugs or drug trade.
