in the great Guadalajara area.
(as promised in a previous thread)

A couple of times a month, a group of mostly Mexicans and John and Susan Pint head out for the day, to explore rivers, waterfalls, caves, wierd geological formations etc. after everyone mets up, somewhere in Zapopan near El Rancho Pint.

After they 'find' and explore whatever they're trying for that day, John posts photos and stories of the trip. Or other member's photos or descriptions of the trip(Spanish and English)

Years ago, the Pints wrote a little guide book, that I've read. In 2007, they up-dated the book in collaboration with un amigo and put out a Spanish version.

AL AIRE LIBRE EN LAS CERCANIAS DE GUADALAJARA
por John y Susy Pint
con Pedro Fernández Somellera
y dibujos de Jesús Moreno

2007, Editorial Agata, Guadalajara; 200 páginas

Spelunking in un-tourist developed caves sounds like my worst nightmare but I did run into his site when searching for Altilte which is close to La Huerta here in Jalisco

His site does not allow links to separate articles but he has on one THE DISAPPEARING LAKE OF ALTILTE. The petroglyphs are what I wanted to see but didn't.

We did find the Balneario Aguas Calientes he talked about
