Eagle Nest hatching..soon

Thanks very much to Owl Wild Life refuge (OWL) for allowing us to put the EAGLE NEST cameras in the tree and to Delta Cable for providing cable internet service for this nest -

there are already eggs!

and our next door nesting pair of bald eagles took one of our "apple yard" ducks at 9:30 am.
(While she had her head in the mud)

In a previous post I mentioned about all the new baby ducks in the 'hood - well the coyotes got them - ain't nature grand?

I assume that other dead bird in the nest is food. First time i checked it out in the daylight

Coyotes and Possums were only South of the Fraser, when I lived down there.

No, the female ducks are for laying eggs, male ducklings are for eating.
