I guess we can throw whatever subtle or overt brickbats at the health insuranced industry we want to, but this fact remains for many people:
The health insurance industry will let you buy a policy in the same spirit as a bank will lend you money: First, you must prove that you are in such sound condition that you don't need it. Otherwise, your application will be turned down. Which leaves you where, health insurance-wise? Uninsured.
Been there, had that happen. Yes, some changes are way overdue.
The real "death panels" are the insurance companies who won't cover the sick or even the formerly sick but presently healthy. Hevvin forbid they might have to actually pay out for medical care.
Personally, I don't mind Shush's vast postings, complete with links. Some of this stuff is very interesting, and I'd never think to look it up. Some of it is.......in outer limits, for sure. But it's not like a case of typhoid, so why not just ignore what doesn't interest you.
