We in Mazatlán had been waiting for 2 days for the first tropical storm of the season (EN-1) to hit us, Sat night. All the weather channels had it pointed right at Maz. Then THIS morning, Friday, while the EN-1 was still way out at sea, we got hit! Some people say that the damage was worse then when Hurricane Lane grazed by us. Whatever, it was pretty bad. A friend measured gusts of 75 MPH on the roof of his condo. Trees down, signs down, roads blocked, flooding. Still, the weather news at the time (NOAA, Wunderground, Accuweather), while this was happening, said this EN-1 was the threat and was 52 miles away from us! Now, EN-1 has dissipated. So, I wonder, why didn't anyone notice another REALLY big storm coming our way?
