Seems the candidate for NY-23 backed by the extreme right GOP is imploding (a'la Palin as VP candidate):

" Douglas L. Hoffman, the Conservative Party candidate for the 23rd Congressional District, showed no grasp of the bread-and-butter issues pertinent to district residents in a Thursday morning meeting with the Watertown Daily Times editorial board."

http://www.watertowndailytimes.com/arti ... -1/OPINION

"Coming to Mr. Hoffman's defense, former House Majority Leader Dick Armey, R-Texas, who accompanied the candidate on a campaign swing, dismissed regional concerns as "parochial" issues that would not determine the outcome of the election. On the contrary, it is just such parochial issues that we expect our representative to understand and be knowledgeable about, if he wants to be our voice in Washington."

Dick Armey is of course Mr. Teabagger. This has prompted the moderate GOP candidate to issue a statement:

"Doug Hoffman doesn't live here, he doesn't understand our local issues and, regardless of his campaign's theatrics and false polls, he knows he is completely unelectable. Make no mistake about it -- Doug Hoffman is a spoiler, and by staying in this race he will jeopardize a seat the Republican Party has held here since the Civil War."

So, guess who could be laughing all the way to Congress?

Tim Pawlenty, one prospective GOP 2012 presidential candidate, has thrown his support behind Hoffman against the GOP's NY-23 official candidate. This has people speculating that the GOP 2012 presidential primary battle is starting early:

" Pawlenty’s endorsement follows announcements last week from former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin and former Pennsylvania Sen. Rick Santorum, both of whom backing Hoffman. "

http://dyn.politico.com/printstory.cfm? ... D636A97EC1

“When you’re running for president in the Republican Party, part of your job is to look like the most conservative candidate. And if a Hoffman endorsement is the ticket to prove your conservative credentials, then a lot of Republicans are going to punch that ticket.”

"Former House Speaker Newt Gingrich, a Scozzafava supporter who is frequently mentioned as a prospective 2012 candidate, argued in an interview last week with National Review that “If you seek to be a perfect minority, you’ll remain a minority.”

“That’s not how Reagan built his revolution or how we won back the House in 1994,” Gingrich argued."

Interesting times for the GOP.

Don't suppose you noticed Dems breaking rank with Dingy Harry? - like the other day when he looked the fool he is in the vote.

But then, Granny Pelosi is the master of the stupid when she tries to "rename" the Public Option as the Competitive Option - well, not real good at spelling she was close, it's really the "Non-Competitive Option" but then what's a little lie "for the public good" - you think Dems and Libs aren't running for cover on this one? - Bob? - come one, give this a real good spin, I love seeing you twisting yourself in knots, we might even make a reality series out of you - if anyone actually thought it was funny or "real".

Well, well, looky here....stevie boy reappears. I guess he's tired of playing St. Francis of Assisi for now.

Here's Newt on conservatives being "smart":

"“I just think it is a mistake for the conservative movement to think splitting in the special election is a smart idea,” Gingrich said. “If we give that seat to the Democrats, shame on us.”

Take that, wingnuts!

Yup. I'm saying NY-23 may be lost to the Dems because of your wingnut coalition. Care to dispute that?

You are fond of attaching links. If you would read links that are not yours, you will know what NY-23 is.
