One of those 'what to do' days we went looking for an organic farm out past the train station. Nice to see and they did have plenty of salad fixings - most of it it is taken to town to stores.
San Miguel Viejo is not well defined and not much there except for the Chapel, assorted houses and the edge of the lake. There was this large place that had many tin figures of all sizes but they only sell thru fancy stores in town - mostly Mariachi musicians

Located some 5 kms west of the central Plaza Allende, along a dusty road extending beyond the railroad station, San Miguel Viejo was the first settlement here, founded by Fray Juan de San Miguel in the 1530s.
