Consider the extensive Spanish Pronunciation Tutorial. It consists of audio-flashcard-driven oral exercises in which you are given the opportunity to hear an item (vowel, consonant, diphthong, etc.), then practice speaking the item out loud. You hear examples of the item pronounced by a speaker from Peru, compared to a speaker from Spain, compared to a novice (heavy-handed) person with an English accent. In the Pronunciation Tutorial, there are a staggering 50 free lessons! Each of these lessons will provide you with between 14 – 49 audio-flashcards making up the examples, non-examples, and practice exercises. You can repeat each card, or the entire lesson, as many times as you like.

The Spanish Grammar Tutorial consists of 9 Units made up of a total of 104 topics, each with free lessons, PDF printer friendly pages, and quizzes. I would wait and see what they come up for Kindle, iTablet, or the new Barnes & Noble Nook ($239 in November). Might be more interactive, combining a written and spoken techniques, less cumbersome than a laptop or netbook, you could actually travel with it like those gadgets on Startrek.
