BOB, ANSWER THE QUESTIONS OF CRAWL BACK IN YOUR HOLE

How about you answering the question of why you didn't serve in Vietnam? I asked a couple of times but knew you were too big a coward to answer.

Interesting. Like his idol Rush, stevie boy is also a chickenhawk! Isn't that sumpin'.

Typical of the Limbaugh/wingnut coalition "I hope Obama fails" rant, echoed here by chickenhawk "brownie" (stain in his pants?), wingnuts fail to provide a credible alternative. Result: the Republicans are faring worse than the Democrats in favorability polls. An inconvenient truth to wingnuts.

In desperation, the wingnuts are trying to stage a coup within the GOP by hijacking the candidacy for Congress in New York District 23 (NY-23, now you know, chickenhawk "brownie"). Result: the GOP may lose that seat held since the Civil War. All for the sake of "ideological purity".

Pathetic! Wingnuts will get what they deserve.

Never mind the pizzing contest going on between two people who just can't seem to carry on a civil conversation about a subject they don't agree on.

I find the situation in NY interesting, since it's the opening volley in an inevitable political war that's been brewing since before the last election. You know, the one where the Old Guy and Miss Sweetcheeks wanted our votes.

The fact is that the Republican party is starting to commit ritual suicide. Or, it's about time the twins were birthed. They didn't belong in the same womb. I used to think Newt was out there. Now he sounds like a sensible politician, compared to the Teabagging Wingnuts.

Anybody watch the Herbert Hoover bio of public TV last night? That was a thoughtful take on the subject of how much government, and when, and how a good man could hang himself with his own ideological rope during a massive crisis. The question then, in the days before government safety nets, was how to work out a solution during 25% unemployment, a farming disaster and a banking meltdown, while at the same time trying to cling to the doctine of individualism, private enterprise supreme and private charity as the solution. Has kind of a familiar ring these days, though times are not nearly as bad. The long, long soup lines aren't there yet. Hoover did have it partly right when he started the massive public works projects....so he gets credit where it's due. FDR replaced him for some of the same reasons Obama was elected: he offered "Hope" and "Change".
The sad truth is the only the Second World War finally bailed the economy out.

Why the wingnuts are taking a stand in NY-23 is interesting. Newt is being practical in that he thinks Hoffman is not electable and will hand the seat to the Dems by splitting the conservative vote.

Hoffman is not from the area, does not know the local problems, and is imploding when dealing with local issues. But look at the ad produced by Fred Thompson on his behalf. Be interesting to see if "send a message to Washington" is the winning message.

Here's another shot by Gingrich against his probable 2012 rivals:

"Former House Speaker Newt Gingrich defended his endorsement of Republican Dede Scozzafava last night on FOX News, while criticizing potential 2012 presidential rivals Sarah Palin and Tim Pawlenty for supporting Conservative party candidate Doug Hoffman"

http://www.politico.com/blogs/scorecard ... ffman.html

The drama continues. Repercussions extend way beyond the Nov. 3rd elections.
