I believe that Jagger (and/or the Stones) wrote "As Tears Go By" and gave it to Marianne. So perhaps she's glad that she started hanging out with them.

Ferret - I mean she sounded so young and innocent in this early song. The decades of drugs, partying and smoking toasted her voice. What a story of survival, even breast cancer, to come out in her sixties as clean and sober is a miracle and tribute to human spirit.
