Arrested Development - Ex-Pats Mexico

I just can't let a whole day go by without a single post, so here's my schedule for the next two days.

Tomorrow (Thursday), I'll be in Adriana's kitchen to shoot a story on making albóndigas soup.

Friday, Nery and I will go in search of a very special ingredient for barbacoa which his mother, Adriana, will use for a photo shoot next week.

We will also talk with a local cheese maker about a photo shoot.

Finally, we will stop by his cousin's house to interview a new puppy for me.

Ernesto is an animal lover par excellence. He picks up stray cats and dogs, cleans them up, has them checked by a vet, de-wormed, etc and neutered. Then he finds homes for them. Right now he has 4 adult dogs, 7 puppies and 5 cats. He is another of my bi-lingual (he used to live in the USA) college student friends. He has a degree in industrial engineering, but now he wants to be a computer whiz, so back to college.

Thanks to my chance meeting with Nery a couple of years ago, my life has been blessed with a whole cadre of bright, upwardly mobile college kids. Keeps an old man on his toes.

What a sweet little dog!

You should see what that sweet little dog can do to a box of Kleenex. I may never find it all.

If that sweet little dog could read your food stories - he wouldn't be wasting his time on a box of Kleenex!

I had a little poodle once, that would tear up a whole roll of bath tissue off the holder. And I agree, CG, that dog has a lot better eating at home, I'm sure.
