Arbon, in the US the Tour is on Versus, and live coverage starts very early ("before breakfast," as my dad would say). The rest of the day it's shown as tape replay, and if you want you can watch the whole thing at least 2 more times. Versus used to be called Outdoor Living Network or something like that--OLN--but changed to the new name a couple of years ago. Versus is channel 151 on our Dish system, but I don't know what it would be (if it's there at all) in Mexico. We never miss the Tour. Buena suerte-- N. |

We have used Netflix for a couple of years, and have just discovered the joys of instant play. Not all movies are available for instant download, but the system works very well. We download through the laptop and cable it directly to our TV for watching. I think you do have to have a regular membership--getting DVDs through the mail--in order to use the download system, but you can download an unlimited number of movies every month, unlike the regular membership, which is limited to a certain number per month. You also have to have a relatively fast internet connection. Last week we were feeling the need for a silly movie and watched Woody Allen's "Bananas," for the first time in years. Forgot how funny he could be in the old days. N. |

In Canada..... we did get OLN on cable, but the TdeF coverage was badly edited, then they stopped showing it. What I have been doing is following live text and later seeing the high lights. |

TdF '09 is from July 4-26, right? Try http://tdf.sbs.com.au/tdf2008/# or one of the streaming live sports sites I recommended. They may stream the race. Good luck. |

Thanks ...but so far every one I have tried is not available in Canada. OLN (Canada) is showing the TdeF this year, looks like 3 hours every morning, and again at prime time. |

The links are internet links viewable at your computer and available anywhere in the world. I watch my favorite hockey team play no matter where I am in the world at the adhte link if someone is "broadcasting". Someone who has local TV coverage connects his TV broadcast to his computer and then to the internet so what he sees everyone worldwide gets to see it too as long as they are on the site. That is how it works. |

If you can't get it on TV, you may be able to get it via the streaming internet broadcast at: http://livetv.ru/en/allupcoming/ This is what I saw displayed today at the site: Cycling Tour de France 5 July at 12:15 (Grand Tour) Tour de France 6 July at 13:15 (Grand Tour) Good luck and happy viewing! |
