It's Carnaval in Mérida and I thought I'd share some pics from one of the parades.

I can't imagine how the stilt people dance the whole parade route on cobblestones

The dancers are not all chicas, these are the Adultos Mayores and they also danced the whole parade route. They did have an open bus following the contingents in case anyone needed to ride. There were only a few in it though, and we were at the end of the route.
